Valery Vladimirovich Polyakov is a famous Soviet and Russian astronaut, a Hero of the Soviet Union.
In 1988, he embarked on his first spaceflight to the Mir space station.
Polyakov spent 240 days there and returned to Earth with new knowledge and experience. During this mission, he conducted medical research and assisted other astronauts.
Valery Vladimirovich’s second flight was even longer and more complex. It began in 1994 and lasted for 437 days. During this time, he conducted numerous scientific experiments and studies. This helped to better understand the effects of long-term weightlessness on the human body.
