F-1 Nuclear Reactor
On December 25, 1946, the first Soviet reactor, F-1, was launched in Moscow Laboratory No. 2. Our scientists conducted experiments there and, with its help, obtained a new element — plutonium.

You can’t even imagine how important this discovery was, because this element is even more active than uranium.

Cheers to our scientists!
